The PaTRAM Institute Summer Academy will be held at the Princeton Theological Seminary in beautiful Princeton, NJ. This very unique event will accommodate all levels of church musician and will be taught by some of the finest instructors in the world.

Beginner-Intermediate Conductors Program ~ June 19-24

Advanced Conductors Master Class ~ June 19-24

Singers Workshop (all levels) ~ June 21-24

The Academy will culminate in the celebration of the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy at St. Alexander Nevsky Diocesan Cathedral in nearby Howell, NJ.

Uniting Musical Excellence with Orthodox Worship!

Dr. Peter Jermihov, Artistic Director, along with a stellar faculty will provide intensive training for the advanced and aspiring church musician in the following disciplines:


Classes begin Tuesday morning, June 19.

A PROFESSIONAL CHOIR will serve as the practice instrument for the Conductor-Students!


*ALL SINGER-STUDENTS will arrive on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20 5-6:30 PM for Registration.

Classes begin Thursday morning, June 21.

Singers will advance their vocal technique and health and expand their repertoire.


Training throughout the Academy

*The venue for the Academy is the Princeton Theological Seminary of Princeton University, one of America’s most beautiful campuses.

*Explore charming Downtown Princeton, just a few minutes by foot from the Academy venue.

*Relax after class and enjoy activities, outings and a fun social event in the evenings.


Advanced Conductor: $750 * Beginner-Intermediate Conductor: $525 * Singer: $345 * Auditor: $195 for duration of the Academy or $50 per day

*Lunch is provided

Logistics update:

PaTRAM has negotiated a special room rate for anyone interested in lodging for this event. The Holiday Inn Express, Princeton-Southeast, located at 870 Scudders Mill Road, Plainsboro, NJ (609) 936-6600, under group name  “PaTRAM Institute Summer Academy“, at a daily rate of $99 + tax, Monday thru Thursday, and $129 + tax, Friday and Saturday, including daily breakfast. Free Wi-Fi, outdoor pool, fitness center, walking trails and nearby shops, banks and restaurants.

Rooms are being held at this rate until May18th, 2018. Availability is limited. You must contact the hotel directly via the aforementioned phone number. Do not use the Holiday Inn global reservations number.

The hotel is 10 minutes drive from Princeton Theological Seminary.

All participants are responsible for their own transportation but there will be limited transportation from the hotel to the Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS). Please send an email to: info@patraminstitute.org to inquire.

The following meals will be provided to the following paid participants:

.at PTS – Daily lunch for all Conductor and Singer level students

.at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral – banquet lunch after Sunday services for all paid participants

Terms and Conditions for Application (please read them carefully before applying)

By clicking on the “REGISTER FOR EVENT” button the applicant has agreed to the terms and conditions as stated:

For Advanced Conductor applicants ONLY – you are required to complete an application including all required documentation and file uploads. The application must be completed by May 18, 2018. The applicant will be notified if they are accepted shortly thereafter. Cancellations can only be accepted until May 18, 2018 and will be charged a $100 processing fee. After May 18th, the application is non-refundable. Note: a full refund is given if the application is declined.

For All other applicants (excluding per day Auditors) 
Payment is required to complete an application including all required documentation and file uploads. The application deadline for processing this applicant is June 8th 2018. Cancellations can be only be accepted until June 1st 2018 and will be charged a processing fee of $50. After June 1st, the tuition is non-refundable. Meals are NOT provided to Auditors.

For per day Auditors –
Please call Tatiana Geringer, at 973-476-0762, at least 48 hours PRIOR to the date when you wish to attend to reserve a place for that day. Should you choose to attend on subsequent days, please let Tatiana know on your first attending day. Payment must be made on-site prior to attendance. Meals are NOT included.
