Dr. Peter Jermihov, senior member of the PaTRAM faculty, conducts THREE landmark Choral Events

Dr. Jermihov will conduct the world premiere of the “Greek Liturgy” by Father Ivan Moody. This new Greek Liturgy, commissioned by the Society of St. Romanos the Melodist, is based on traditional Greek Byzantine chants. The world premier event will take place at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, on October 2nd 2016, as part of the Church’s 90th Anniversary celebration.

Dr. Jermihov will lead a master class in conducting at the 25th Annual Russian Orthodox Church Musicians’ Conference (ROCOR) in Montreal, Canada, October 5-9, 2016. http://www.rocmconference.org/

Adding to these achievements, Dr. Jermihov assembled and directed a 70-voice choir, consisting of the finest singers in North America, opera stars from the National Opera of the Ukraine, and members of the Patriarch Tikhon Choir, in recording Rachmaninoff’s masterpiece, “The All Night Vigil,” Op. 37. The CD was recorded last year and the official release date, on Naxos of America, is February 2017. Produced by Richard K. Pugsley, member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences Producers and Engineers wing, the recording celebrates the 100th anniversary of Rachmaninoff’s legendary choral classic.
